A Quick Announcement Hello everybody! I'm back with a quick note to my readers. I'll still be on hiatus, unfortunately, but I have more exciting news. Recently, I started a serial fantasy story on Wattpad. It will be updated every other Friday, and the first part is already up. Below, you will find a link to the story, and a quick synopsis. Please check it out if you're interested! Kiran: The White Beast, Vol. 1 By A. Lee Anders In the City of the Last Federation, humanity faces the worst and best of themselves. Black Beasts, creatures made from the deepest hatred and fear, roam the streets, preying on the helpless with endless hunger. By contrast, joy and love bring about the Red Spirits, far rarer but no less powerful. Kiran Rakes is haunted by a past he can't remember, and a hunger he can't control. After being wrongfully convicted from a murder he's not sure he committed, he struggles to contain his instincts. However, after meeting Beast Hunter Zan and

House Special: March 2021

House Special: March 2021 So there's been a bit of feet dragging on my part this month. I only got two posts written, and this one is coming later than usual. Still, I made it here. I am sad to announce that this will be my last post for a while. My family is re- locating to a different state, so things will be quite different for me in the coming months. That's not to say I'll never post again, I just don't know if I'll get back to this anytime soon. There's a lot of change and work ahead for me. I've enjoyed this immensely, and I'm going to miss it. Please enjoy this month's Special, and there are some SPOILERS down the line.  ~ Number Ten ~ Poe Dameron Star Wars: The Last Jedi House: Gryffindor Poe may have made his first appearance in Force Awakens, but he never truly got his chance to shine until the sequels. It's no secret that I'm not the biggest fan of this movie, but the reason it's not a complete disaster, along with Rise of S

Top Ten Disappointing Movies

Top Ten Disappointing Movies Welcome back, all! Today we're going over what will probably be a controversial subject, but, hey. We all have our opinions. For this list, I'm ranking the ten movies where I went in with high expectations, whether is was because of company name or marketing, but it fell far short of my expectations. Keep in mind that these movies were supposed to do well, and some of them did very well. For me, it kind of felt like I had wasted my time and money. There will be some light SPOILERS down the line. Read on! ~ Number Ten ~ The Good Dinosaur (2015) Everyone expects only the best from Pixar. It's no secret that they are a giant in animation and have cranked out some of the most classic films of this century. However, this one fell hard. It was an original idea, and the concept had me excited. And then I sat down and watched it. It has the most basic storyline, some of which isn't coherent at times, and the characters are just as bland. I can rel

Top Ten John Williams Scores

Top Ten John Williams' Scores Hello and happy March, everyone! Where I live, spring is just around the corner, meaning sunnier days and warmer weather. Today's topic doesn't have much to do with spring, but music is as timeless as language, and can be one all on its own. There is hardly a better composer out there than the legendary John Williams, who has composed classic music for classic films. For this list, I'll be looking at specific score pieces that are his best, not the soundtrack itself. You will find highlighted links to the music below, so listen on if you please. There will be NO SPOILERS this time, since it's all about the music.  ~ Number Ten ~ Hedwig's Theme Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone                                    This music piece might have been named after Hedwig the owl, but we all know that this is the commonly known Harry Potter theme instead. It has played at the start of every movie, and has been done in different styl

House Special: February 2021

House Special: February 2021 It's that time of month again, everyone! Time for the House Special! After three months of themed specials, I'm returning to the tried and true method of selecting characters at random and sorting them into their "proper" Hogwarts house. I guess it's kind of up for debate on my selections, but it's really just my opinion, and it's a lot of fun. There will be some light SPOILERS but nothing that really gives anything away. On with the post! ~ Number Ten ~ Ellen Ripley Alien House: Gryffindor I had to start with this one because Ripley is my favorite female character EVER. She's calm, she's smart, she's tough as nails, she's OK with living alone with her cat or some casual flirting. Heck, she might even my make my top ten favorite characters ever. Anyway, I think it's fairly obvious why she's in Gryffindor. Alien is a classic sci- fi horror that spawned several sequels, and Ripley was the canter of most

Top Ten Time Travel Stories

Top Ten Time Travel Stories   Time Travel. One of the hardest fictional concepts to wrap our heads properly around. Can the future really be changed? Or does the flow of time merely right itself? Maybe it's best to let these stories handle that. Today, I rank my favorite time travel stories. To make the list, the story has to either revolve primarily around time travel, or have time travel be the crux of the story. There won't really be any SPOILERS, but I'll issue one just in case. Just think, your future self has already read this! ~ Number Ten ~ The Magic Tree House series by Mary Pope Osborne                                     We'll start this list with a childhood classic of mine, Magic Tree House. These were sold in every book store, and the creative titles and covers drew you in with each new adventure. By opening a book and pointing to a page, Jack and Annie were able to wish themselves literally anywhere, and a bulk of the adventures took them to different tim
