Top Ten MCU Upgrades: MCU Blogathon Hello everyone! In continuing with my January theme of celebrating the MCU, I give you this week's entry. Marvel has become a staple for action and superhero movies, and that's all well and good. But with as many movies as there are, we can't expect our heroes to stay at the same power level forever. Some of the best moments in the MCU are those when our heroes get a well earned power or technology upgrade that make all our jaws drop in the awesomeness. Careful, there will be SPOILERS ahead. Sit back and watch it all happen.  ~ Number Ten ~ Star Lord Planetary Power                                     The first Guardians movie teased that maybe Chris Pratt, I mean, Peter Quill, wasn't entirely human. Come the sequel, we got an answer to that, thankfully. Quill's father is a literal godlike planet, and looks to exploit that side of our hero. However, in order to protect his newfound family and friends, Quill turns that power in h

Top Ten Hawkeye Moments

Top Ten Hawkeye Moments This is my second post for the MCU themed month, and part of the blogathon Miss Woodhouse and I are hosting. Of course, I couldn't go the whole month without singing the praises of one of my favorite characters. Hawkeye, aka Clint Barton, may not be my number one favorite, but he's so underrate by the people at Marvel it should be treated as a crime. It also helps that he's played by the fantastic Jeremy Renner, who is also underrated in his talents as an actor. Mind you, there are SPOILERS down the line. This list will rank his best moments across several movies, and highlight why he deserves more. Read on and enjoy this little appreciation post! ~ Number Ten ~ Cold Open Avengers: Endgame                                    The Russo brothers probably realized that there was no where near enough Hawkeye in Infinity War, and by that I mean none at all. Before we even get a glimpse of anything in Endgame, we see Clint teaching his daughter how to sho

Be warned, there are heavy SPOILERS down the line. Avengers... Assemble! ~ Number One ~ Q: What is Your Favorite Movie? A: Avengers: Endgame                                    This really has so much criteria attatched to it, like story development, character arcs, actions scenes, and ultimately payoff. So, probably the best that neatly includes everything was Endgame. I laughed, I cried, I shouted with joy, and I received an emotional payoff never before seen in any mov

House Special: December 2020 This marks both my last post for the year, as well as rounding off the House Specials for the whole year. It will soon be 2021, plus my one- year bloggiversary. To start off 2021, I am collaborating with Miss Woodhouse over at Notes from a Heartfield Girl to bring you a month long Marvel Cinematic Universe blogathon. Look for the announcement on both blogs before the end of the year. For today, I'm giving you ten characters from classic Christmas stories. There will be SPOILERS down the line. Happy reading! ~ Number Ten ~ Olaf Olaf's Frozen Adventure House: Hufflepuff I'd thought I'd start out with the least traditional of the bunch. I'm taking from the Holiday Frozen special that was released a few years ago, specifically for Christmas. Plus, Olaf is a snowman, which is very Christmas-y. One of his defining traits is loving warm hugs, which is staple for almost every Hufflepuff. He's warm, caring, happy, energetic, and just in ge

Top Ten Christmas Movies

Top Ten Christmas Movies It's the most wonderful time of the year! Time for songs and Christmas trees and the best of traditions: watching Christmas movies! Today, I'm listing my favorite Christmas movies I love watching every year. It's required viewing. There will be SPOILERS down the line. On with the show! ~ Number Ten ~ Christmas Vacation (1989)                                     It may not be the most wholesome or family- friendly movie of the bunch, but goodness if it isn't just a fun Christmas comedy that never fails to make me laugh. It celebrates the concept of family coming together for the holidays, no matter how crazy, while at the same time poking fun at the crazy. There's all the usual traditions, like getting a tree, putting up lights, and cooking turkey, but with a classic Griswold family twist. It's very relatable on a lot of levels, even if it's dialed up to eleven.  ~ Number Nine ~ How To Train Your Dragon: Homecoming (2019) I love the
