Tag of Ten: Sherlock Blog Party 2020

A Tag of Ten: Sherlock Blog Party 2020

As you might know, Miss Woodhouse and I are hosting a Sherlock themed blog party for the entirety of May, and are inviting all you lovelies to join in! Together, we have come up with a fun tag of ten questions... "Would You Rather" edition! I will post the ten scenarios below, which you can then use in your own blog. Make sure to comment and let us know you're doing it, as we will recap the month with a list of those who participated. I'm really excited about this and doubly excited to find other Sherlock fans. The game is on!

~ A Tag of Ten ~

Would You Rather....

1. Spend a day with Sherlock or John?

2. Watch the first episode or last episode?

3. Have Sherlock's mind or John's compassion?

4. Work with Molly or Lestrade?

5. Face off against Moriarty or Magnussen?

6. Be best friends with Molly or Mary?

7. Prevent the events of The Recheinbach Fall or The Six Thatchers?

8. Deal with a grumpy Sherlock or a grumpy Mycroft?

9. Ride in Mrs. Hudson's car or Mycroft's helicopter?

10. Babysit Rosie or help plan the Watson wedding?

Bonus: Which version of "Sherlock Lives" scenarios would you choose to make canon?

You can copy and paste this to your blog or make up your own format. Below are my own answers, and if you want to see Ms. Woodhouse's choices, clikc the link above and head on over to her blog.

Would You Rather..
Spend a day with Sherlock or John?

This one is really tough, choosing just between the two of them. But I guess it just comes down to who I like better, and that would be John. He's smart, charming, and funny, and while he may not be as animated as Sherlock can be, I'm willing to bet I'd still have plenty of adventurous fun to write home about.

~ Number Two ~
Would You Rather..
Watch the first episode or last episode?

There is no competition. The first one. The last episode is good, but, admittedly, the last season took a wrong left turn somewhere and never recovered. The very first episode, however, really set the stage for the series as a whole, and is very fun to watch. Over and over again.

~ Number Three ~
Would You Rather..
Have Sherlock's mind or John's compassion?

This one is particularly tough, seeing as really don't possess either quality in great abundance. In the end, though, I think I'd go with Sherlock's mind for the fun of it. I can only imagine what it's like to be that smart, that observant, even if I lose the basic knowledge that the earth rotates around the sun.

~ Number Four ~
Would You Rather..
Work with Molly or Lestrade?

So, I guess it's basically whether I want to investigate homicides or cut open dead bodies. Neither have really seemed very appealing, but getting a chance to work with either of these characters would be awesome. As a side note, I do want to say that Lestrade is the only unproblematic male in the whole series. Anyway, I'd pick Molly, because she's just such a great person.

~ Number Five ~
Would You Rather..
Face off against Moriarty or Magnussen?

This one requires a lot of thought, and they are both scary similar. Both are geniuses. Both are psychos. Both cam very close to actually outsmarting Sherlock. And both ended up shot in the head. I'd rather face off against Moriarty, though, because, knowing myself, I couldn't stand being blackmailed and having a constant threat over my head when it came to Magnussen.

~ Number Six ~
Would You Rather..
Be Best Friends with Mary or Molly?

Two of the best females in the series? Yes, please. I'd pick both. But if I had to choose just one, I think I'd choose Mary. She's sweet, insanely clever, married to John Watson, and is an ex- assassin on top of that. I would love to have a friend who could beat up other people but also have girlfriend lunch dates with.

~ Number Seven ~
Would You Rather..
Prevent the events of Recheinbach Fall or The Six Thatchers?

There is no contest. The Six Thatchers. As heart- wrenching as Recheinbach is, Sherlock never actually died. Mary, however, did, and I woulkd reverse that in a heartbeat if I could. Another reason being is how, well, out- of- character everyone seemed, from Mary running away to John cheating. Yeah. I would definitely erase all that.

~ Number Eight ~
Would You Rather..
Deal with a grumpy Sherlock or a grumpy Mycroft?

This is definitely easy. Grumpy Mycroft. When Sherlock gets grumpy he tends to shoot at the walls or curl up in his chair like a homeless person and ignore everything. At least Mycroft knows how to act like a mature adult, and besides, you could probably just offer cake and he'd be good to go.

~ Number Nine ~
Would You Rather..
Ride in Mrs. Hudson's car or Mycroft's helicopter?

I have never ridden in a helicopter or a fancy sports car. Both would be very thrilling. But I think I'd choose to ride along with Mrs. Hudson, just for the chance to spend some time with her, even if you would end up in an accident or pulled over by cops.

~ Number Ten ~
Would You Rather..
Babysit Rosie or help plan the Watson wedding?

I love weddings, and look forward to the day when I can plan my own. Definitely plan the wedding. I'm sure Rosie is a delight to be around (and, hey, if Sherlock can do it, I'm sure I could), but weddings are just so darn fun and I get really excited talking about them. Besides, it's John and Mary's wedding. How can I pass that up?

~ Bonus ~
Which version of "Sherlock Lives" scenarios would you choose to make canon?

There's is one version, and one version only, I will ever choose to accept and officially make canon. The one with the Sherlolly kiss. I completely and utterly lose it every time I watch it. Plus, it does seem like one of the more probable outcomes, however complicated it may be.

Signed,
TQ
